Serve as a Hospitality House or Retreat Missionary: Opportunities

OPPORTUNITY CATEGORIES

Alpha/career staff

Most House Directors are in this category. These are long-term missionaries planning to serve for more than a year or two.

Short term

These missionaries are appointed for up to a year at a time, and may be extended for up to four years. This would include internships, fill-in staff to run our ministries while directors are on Home Assignment or when a ministry is in between permanent directors, and for those who want to join our Alpha staff but are a little short of the educational requirements.

Support staff

Some missionaries are appointed to come alongside House Directors or other ministries with gifts of service or other specific skills. Some examples are: those who assist and are accountable to House Directors, administrative workers, teachers, educational consultants, and craftsmen. Support staff are appointed as missionaries, so we are looking for spiritual maturity, but the educational requirements are consistent with the specifics of the job. A handyman is a legitimate and valuable missionary position who wouldn’t need to meet the 30 hours of Bible requirement, for example.

Part time

This option is not common, but if your life situation only allows for part time ministry and you can provide a specific service to meet a specific need of ours, we can tailor fit your job description.

Volunteer

Help out your local ministry by contacting them directly to see what their needs are.

Taste & See trips

Come visit a few of our ministries for a week or two, or for a weekend if that’s all you can afford, to see what we do first hand. These are reserved for very interested, potential missionaries only because of the level of sacrifice and attention required of your hosts.
