Biography of Alice Kalbach
Ray Kalbach and I were married in 1937, served several pastorates, and directed a Bible Conference before going to the Philippines in 1953 with five children. It was before our second term that Dick Patty asked Ray to build the Subic Service Center in Olongapo. After getting it under roof, Dick finished it while we moved to Manila to supervise the construction of the first two buildings of Faith Academy, the school for missionary children. We served two terms on Okinawa and again Ray was building—this time Hansen Christian Center. Back in the U.S., he represented the Mission for several years and then on to Fellowship Ranch where he built a duplex house and the lodge, later called “Kalbach Hall.” In 1983, we were accepted at the Bradenton Missionary Village where we enjoyed two-and-a-half years of retirement before the Lord took Ray home after leading a prayer meeting.
